Jan Schrotenboer
Therapeutic Volunteer
Jan fell in love with horses at a very young age and got her first pony at 8 years old. She enjoyed many years of trail riding with many different horses. Jan got out of horses in the early 90’s to have a family. When she got back into horses, she started taking lessons and going to open shows doing English and Western. Over the years, she also competed in CMO’s and also did some camping, clinics, and extreme horse challenges. Jan has attended many clinics to learn as much as she can. Her last horse she trained as a 2 year old and had him for 12 years. His name is Prince. She ended up selling him due to life changes. One day, Jan happened to drive past Legacy Stables and decided to check it out. She had always wanted to volunteer at a horse farm and help others enjoy horses as much as she has. It’s been a blessing and she really likes the people and horses at Legacy stables!
